IMO Netanyahu aide did NOT say the Boston bombing and 9/11 was good for Israel.

What he said was the Boston bombing and 9/11 helped Americans identify more closely with Israel because Americans presumably know now what it's like to be victims of terrorists just as Israel always has been victims of terrorists.

It's a major hubristic presumption on the aide's part, one that I think is losing its illusory power.

Report: Netanyahu says 9/11 terror attacks good for Israel
According to Ma'ariv, Netanyahu said Israel is 'benefiting from attack' as it 'swung American public opinion.'
By Haaretz Service and Reuters | Apr. 16, 2008 | 12:00 AM | 6

"The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."

Netanyahu reportedly made the comments during a conference at Bar-Ilan University on the division of Jerusalem as part of a peace deal with the Palestinians. "

Bibi did not use the word "good" back then. He used the word "beneficial" but the meaning is the same.

In this world, all is mutual manipulation. You USE whatever is out there to better your power and position. There seem to be some people who are master USERS, even better than USA politicians.

The press always takes things out of context and paints a grim picture to the mind-controlled masses who will always imbibe it as served up.

Still, I think leaders of any entity (government, church etc) ought to watch carefully what they say to the press because they know how it will be spinned and no one bothers to read the whole transcript and get the whole context. But what is truly sick, is that Bibi and the Pope are not stupid and they know exactly how it will be spinned and they want it exactly that way.
