When Charlie goes into his religious rants I can only stand about 10 minutes at the most. Is that a good sign considering the fact that when he has his buddy, Michael Anthony, on I can't listen to more than 10 seconds.

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, please scale down the religion bashing.

Yes, 1776blues; there is happy medium: I can only stand so much of Charlie's religion rants. On the other hand, I can only take Texe Marrs in small doses.

I just think that this is just plain funny. I can't help but think that if he would have been describing an Haitian Vodou ritual you guys might have gotten a good laugh out of it.

No, I'd be thinking: "what's this got to do with price of fish".

Best film ever made about religion and Christianity specifically :

Nazarin (1959) - Luis Buñuel - Spanish with English Subtitles

The penance of Nazarin (1959) dulled and I quit after 12m.

I'm exactly the opposite. I'm never bored by the best films of Bunuel and certainly not "Nazarin" which is maybe my favorite film of his aside from "Los Olvidados."

Almost everything Bunuel made up to about the early 70s when he fizzled out, including even most of the Mexican period films which he used to shoot with just one take for each scene, is superior to anything by even the best hollywood directors. If you want to get close to a Bunuelian quality of cinema you have to go all the way back to Scorsese's "Taxi Driver" or Coppola's "Rumble Fish" or Robert Altman's "Three Women."

I'm totally bored by 99.9% of all Hollywood films of the past 20years. What I hate the most besides the obvious brainwashing/propaganda subtext that is in almost all films in the hollywood distribution system is empty special effects and flash and stupid action.

I think that "Waking Life" by Richard Linklater, the film that Alex Jones was also in is probably the most original film made in the past 15 years. "Scanner Darkly," the film he made later with similar animation techniques based on Philip K. Dick which also had an AJ cameo wasn't half as successful.

AJ's wife Violet also had a small cameo in "Waking Life":
